Hi, my name is OJ.

At least, that’s my nickname.

I’m a visual storyteller (AKA Graphic Designer) with a love for 3D and Color Theory.

I like cats, the color mint-green, and sharing my experiences with like-minded people. Right now (7/21/2023) I am in college for Graphic Design, so my writing & designs revolve a lot around applying what I am learning.

To be transparent, my goals for this year is to:

Be a better writer Establish discipline in my personal and college life Learn to connect with people (I’m not great at socializing…) Set up 5 digital products and~

Communicate visually So, if you can tell, I’m a beginner.

Or rather —

a “lifelong learner to reach my potential” — someone on Twitter.

Alright alright I got that from someone, but it’s true! I’m not a professional in my field, but my main goal is sharing my learning process to inspire & help others with their journey.

So…

Are you a Graphic Designer too? (AKA visual storyteller) or someone different? I’d love to know who’s reading this, so please comment!

Now: Why do I like to Write?

For all my life I’ve always had a natural inclination to grab a piece of paper and start writing about madly anything that came to mind.

And no, I never had a journal. In fact, I Hated journals at a young age.

So instead, I wrote stories.

Short stories… read stories…. I read 5, 500 pg books in 7th grade, that gives me some credibility, right? Then when I got older and entered high school, I wrote my own story. It amounted to about 200 pages.

You could say that I’m a natural storyteller, but when it comes to more “logical” concepts that aren’t as free-flowing, I really suffer at it.

That’s where Medium comes in.

As I research topics that I’m learning, writing about them helps me to understand them better.

Of course though, this isn’t just about me.

So here are the main topics that I will write about:

  • Graphic Design Concepts

  • Self (personal) development

  • Color Theory

  • Tips for designing

Staying motivated and more about my favorite one —

  • Feeding our inspiration

Sounds interesting? Give me a follow then! And I hope that my experiences in my studies can help you too :)
