Not everything has to be perfect

Woke up today realizing it was 2 hours later in the day than you thought?

Whether you got to bed late, have an unscheduled appointment, or have some unplanned task to do — these can have the streak on your habit tracker crashing to the ground.

But you know what…

You don’t need to rush around finding 5 minutes of time to complete your habits, whether it’s:

  • Reading
  • Exercise
  • A new hobby

Why?

Because when we rush to do it anyway, the quality of our work suffers.

Think,

“What was the reason you started a habit in the first place?”

That simple question can help you a lot with your time management.

What you can do instead

If you know that you absolutely need to get a habit done, take a breath and:

  • Try it the next day
  • Document your process
  • Reward your tried effort

Not every day has to keep it’s “perfect” streak.

Skipping a day won’t affect how you eat, sleep, or etc. as much as long-term progress will.
