This is how I appreciate the little things
(Images won’t import still - proton drive link to it)

A time of serenity, before the morning sun shines its rays onto the landscape.
I love waking up right before the sun peaks behind the horizon — when outside is pitch black, and the silence beckons anyone to walk in its nothingness. A time to think about the day, what I’m doing in my life, who I want to be.
The sky is like gazing into a reflection, the stars twinkling in the dark blue, moody vastness.
Whenever I sit down at my desk at this time, I peek out my window drapes before grabbing my notebook. I won’t write on the computer just yet.
The night is still dark, so I haven’t quite woken up yet.
I sit in silence, scribbling away all my thoughts & ambitions — having only a glimpse of the outside world from a sliver between the drapes. For what seems like a short time, I look up from out of my focused mind and see —
“The sun is rising!”
I hurry to open the drapes. Opening my laptop, I gaze at the sky’s gradient shades before me. I keep my laptop appearance in dark mode so I can be aware of the sky’s soon-changing colors, and to not be blinded by the white light of my screen.
Typing my notes from my notebook into Obsidian, I prepare to write. At the time when potential is high, it’s perfect for my jumbled mind.
Looking up, the sky has kept its moody dark blue through the top of my window, and has graduated to softer, almost purple shades slightly further down, further down in the softest transition is a light blue — yet not distinct, it’s the most interesting mix of colors. Then I notice, clouds a gradient light salmon, yet yet bright wispy pink.
I run to the window closest to the sunrise, further down where the black trees are farther away yet close to the sun — shining like gold, contrasting clouds of a reddish pink take form. Every so slowly, the sky intermixes with the blue shades above it, crossing into an almost green territory — or what I like to call it, mint-green.
And ever so slightly further below the warm yellow, brightens into a comforting shade, is the red of a fire. The fire beckons the horizon, gleaming as if carried with embers.
This sight always catches my breath whenever I sit at my desk in the early, early morning. It’s a time of rebirth, new life coming up from the horizon and spreading throughout the whole sky — all before the sun even comes up.
Most notice the dimming fire of the sunset, some the fire of the sunrise, yet I notice what’s before that- the first twilight, the brightest and contrasting of any other time.
The colors disperse, and — finally, the sun beckons the horizon. Except, the colors dull; the sun is the brightest in the sky now.
I close my laptop and go to prepare breakfast, knowing that my creativity is soon extinguished.
Nature is chockful of lessons.
The potential for growth when the sun rises — with its bright but contrasting colors. To the evening when everything simmers down for the quiet, and omnipresent night.
